Creating Your Soundtrack for 2019
This is the time of year when many people develop resolutions. More time in the gym, more quality time with family, or less junk food. While I am all for being resolute about the New Year, I decided to do something a little different. I wondered if I could change my mindset by changing my internal playlist. Yes, I want to spend more time in the gym, have more quality time with family, AND eat less junk food but I also want to focus more on the positive. This year I’d like to pray more, hope more, and believe more.
I came across a song on my phone, and I decided (for the first time ever) to create a playlist, 2019 Soundtrack. This year I would put Philippians 4:8 into action: “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honorable, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” The songs on my playlist are upbeat, positive, optimistic, and faith-filled. Admittedly, a few nursery rhymes have made their way onto my playlist, thanks to my kids. But, the ultimate goal is to create an atmosphere for success.
Take a minute to envision your future and set the tempo for 2019.
